Lobbyists assist individuals and organisations with advice on public policy processes and facilitate contact with relevant Government Representatives. In performing this role, lobbyists have a duty to act ethically, transparently, according to the highest standards of professional conduct and in accordance with probity requirements.
The Register is a public document that contains the following information about lobbyists who make representations to Government on behalf of their clients:
Any Lobbyist who wishes to contact a Government Representative for the purpose of lobbying activities must be registered and must agree to comply with the requirements of the Victorian Government Professional Lobbyist Code of Conduct (PDF, 42KB).
